She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on July 9 1983. Her first job out of school was working in the industry of real estate. It was here that she made friends with Tarek. The couple had a very profitable business up until 2008 when real estate agents or house flippers as well as others went bankrupt. In the aftermath of the crash Tarek and Christina El Moussa nearly lost the entirety of their wealth. They moved from their expensive house, for which they paid $6,000 for a month, to a modest home that cost just $700. They gradually rebuilt their business and the entire economy. HGTV as well as Rise to Fame In 2011 Tarek sought out a partner to assist him in creating an HGTV audition tape, which featured him and Christina turning a house beginning to end.
